The slide strip holds the whole carousel. Add a slide, duplicate one, hold to reorder, split a panorama into singles. Ratio and frame are post-wide — one change, every slide follows, which is exactly how Instagram wants it.

The profile grid

Since January 2025 the profile grid shows 3:4. A 3:4 post fits exactly; 4:5 loses about 6 % at the sides, a square 25 %. GridMakr offers all three.

Carousels hold up to twenty slides and every slide shares one ratio. So the ratio is post-wide in the editor — there is nothing to get wrong.

Feed width

Feed posts are 1080 pixels wide. Every slide exports at exactly that, so Instagram has nothing to downscale and your seams stay sharp.

In order

Instagram orders carousel slides by the order you tap them in its picker. GridMakr hands them over in sequence, so a panorama never comes out shuffled.

Whatever GridMakr exports is a plain JPEG. Post it from Instagram, send it in a chat, print it — it is just a file, and it is yours.

Quick answers.

Does it post to Instagram for me?

No, and on purpose. GridMakr never touches your Instagram account. It exports plain image files, in order; you post them from the Instagram app like any other photo. That is also why there is nothing to log in to.

Which ratio should I use?

3:4 if you care about the profile grid — it fits exactly. 4:5 if you want the tallest post in the feed and can live with a 6 % trim on the grid. 1:1 for the classic square. The ratio is set once per post and every slide follows.

Will the panorama seams really line up?

Yes. A sliced panorama is one photo drawn across all panels, panned and zoomed together, and every panel is exported at the same 1080-pixel width. Instagram shows them edge to edge, so the swipe is continuous. Turn the border on if you want a deliberate gap instead.

Does it work offline?

Completely. GridMakr makes no network connections at all. Plane, hike, basement — it works the same.

What does it export?

One JPEG per slide, 1080 pixels wide, through the standard share sheet. Save them to Photos, AirDrop them, or send them straight to Instagram.

What does it run on?

iPhone, on iOS 26 or later. It is built on the Liquid Glass design system, which is why it needs the current iOS. iPad and Mac are not supported yet.
